Swiss Business Lounge – Geneva

From Sierre to Crans-Montana Ski Resort, Valais, Switzerland

If you are travelling from the Rhone valley to Crans-Montana by train there are 2 main options: Sierre or Sion. From Sion you can take the bus while us from Sierre, you can instead use a Funicular. I don’t know which one takes longer but that of Sierre with the Funicular  offers the better view.

Crans-Montana offers nice view of the Rhone Valley, right up from its highest peaks. The upmarket resort has a South-facing slope which explains its moniker of “Sun terrace of Switzerland”.

There is a lift that goes up till around 3,000 meters which makes the resort an excellent Spring time Ski resort.

See pictures of the the Funicular trip from Sierre to Crans-Montana as wells as from the slope of Crans-Montana.
